Optical Properties of an IR-Transparent Prismatic Plate in Exposure to the Thermal Radiation and its Application as a Radiation Rectifier [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Optical properties of a prismatic transparent plate and its effects on thermal radiation heat transfer are studied. A 3D ray-tracing numerical method is used to prove the bi-transmittance property of the prismatic sheet when it is exposed to thermal radiation in two opposite directions.

Influence of quadratic thermal radiation and activation energy impacts over oblique stagnation point hybrid nanofluid flow across a cylinder

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
Quadratic thermal radiation is a fundamental term within the field of radiative heat transfer, which pertains to the interaction of thermal radiation. It encompasses a quadratic correlation between temperature and radiative qualities.

Covalently‐Bonded Diaphite Nanoplatelet with Engineered Electronic Properties of Diamond

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel approach to engineering the electronic properties of diamond is reported on the diaphite nanoplatelet consisting of (11¯${{\bar{1}}}$1) planes of diamond nanoplatelet covalently bonded with graphite (0001) planes. The strong sp3/sp2‐hybridized interfacial covalent bonding induces the electron transfer from diamond to graphite, resulting in a ...

The energy distribution of atoms in the field of thermal blackbody radiation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2002
Using the principle of detailed balance and the assumption on the absorption cross-section consistent with available astrophysical data, we obtain the energy distribution of atoms in the field of thermal blackbody radiation and show that this distribution diverges from the Boltzmann law.

AN ABSOLUTE THERMAL RADIATION CALORIMETER

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Physics, 1961
To allow the absolute calibration of field and laboratory radiometers in the range 0.1 to 1.5 cal/cm2 sec, a continuous flow radiation calorimeter has been constructed, based on a design originally developed by the British Joint Fire Research Organization.

Imbalanced Surface Charge Induced Phase Segregation in Mixed Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The key factor determining the phase segregation in mixed halide perovskites (MHP) is the intrinsic imbalanced surface charges in the crystal lattice. MHP films with excellent crystallinity and surface morphology can suffer severe phase segregation.

Quantum Radiation Properties of General Nonstationary Black Hole [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Using the generalized tortoise coordinate transformations the quantum radiation properties of Klein-Gordon scalar particles, Maxwell's electromagnetic field equations and Dirac equations are investigated in general non-stationary black hole. The locations of the event horizon and the Hawking temperature depend on both time and angles.
