NILAI PREDICTED MEAN VOTE (PMV) PADA BANGUNAN DENGAN SISTEM PERKONDISIAN UDARA CAMPURAN (Studi Kasus: Gereja Katedral Semarang) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this modern era, passive cooling buildings are rare to find. Semarang City, at Central Java has a building with down ventilation (passive cooling) mixed with active cooling with them, that is Katedral Church.

Supraspinal characterization of the thermal grill illusion with fMRI. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
BackgroundSimultaneous presentation of non-noxious warm (40°C) and cold (20°C) stimuli in an interlacing fashion results in a transient hot burning noxious sensation (matched at 46°C) known as the thermal grill (TG) illusion.

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Subject Assessment of Thermal Transition in a Museum: a Case Study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Thermal sensation and comfort evaluation schemes typically address thermally adapted people under static circumstances. A disregard of thermal evaluation processes pertaining to transitional states may result in inappropriate temperature settings ...

Vestibular Patient Journey: Insights From Vestibular Disorders Association (VeDA) Registry

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Vestibular symptoms impose a high burden of disability. Understanding real‐world diagnostic and treatment pathways can identify care gaps and guide interventions. We aimed to characterize symptom profiles, diagnostic trends, provider involvement, and treatment patterns in vestibular disorders.

Thermal sensation and comfort in transient non-uniform thermal environments [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Applied Physiology, 2004
Most existing thermal comfort models are applicable only to steady-state, uniform thermal environments. This paper presents summary results from 109 human tests that were performed under non-uniform and transient conditions. In these tests, local body areas were independently heated or cooled while the rest of the body was exposed to a warm, neutral or

Recurrent Hypothermia and Autonomic Dysfunction Secondary to Shapiro Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A 44‐year‐old man presented with recurrent hypothermia, diaphoresis and hypertension. Extensive investigation for infectious, inflammatory, metabolic and endocrine aetiologies was negative. MR scan of the brain demonstrated no lesions but revealed callosal dysgenesis, consistent with Shapiro syndrome.

Thermal sensation of children and its predictive evaluation method in Indonesia’s dry season

open access: yesJournal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering
There is a discrepancy between children’s thermal sensation in hot-humid climates near the equator and conventional thermal comfort indexes, such as the predicted mean vote (PMV).
