Thermal Mapping of Power Semiconductors in H-Bridge Circuit

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
In this paper, a universal H-bridge circuit is used as a loading emulator to investigate the loss and thermal models of the power semiconductor. Based on its operation principle and modulation method, the dominating factors’ (e.g., power factor, loading ...

Stability of pulse-like earthquake ruptures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Pulse-like ruptures arise spontaneously in many elastodynamic rupture simulations and seem to be the dominant rupture mode along crustal faults. Pulse-like ruptures propagating under steady-state conditions can be efficiently analysed theoretically, but ...

Thermal stress induces glycolytic beige fat formation via a myogenic state

open access: yesNature, 2018
Environmental cues profoundly affect cellular plasticity in multicellular organisms. For instance, exercise promotes a glycolytic-to-oxidative fibre-type switch in skeletal muscle, and cold acclimation induces beige adipocyte biogenesis in adipose tissue.

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Thermal Stress Analysis of Transversally Corrugated Tube in Solar Receiver Under Semi-Circumference Heating

open access: yes发电技术
ObjectiveIn daily operation, the outer wall of solar receiver tube is subjected to uneven heat flux between the inner and outer sides at cylindrical receiver, which leads to the uneven distribution of wall temperature and large temperature gradient.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Physiological and productive responses of environmental control on housed sows Respostas fisiológicas e produtivas do controle ambiental em fêmeas suínas alojadas

open access: yesScientia Agricola, 2008
Swine housing must promote an adjusted environment for thermal comfort and high animal productivity without negatively affecting the sow performance and reproductive response.

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

Thermally induced mechanical stress in the stator windings of electrical machines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The lifetime of an electrical machine mainly depends on the thermal overloading. Modern day applications of electrical machines on one hand require compact machines with high power density, while on the other hand force electrical machines to undergo ...
