Thermite‐Synthesized Fe–Ti–Al–Mg High‐Entropy Intermetallic Compound for Efficient Azo Dye Degradation

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Most high‐entropy alloys (HEAs) tailored for contaminant degradation suffer from complex fabrication processes and high‐cost alloy design. Furthermore, low‐cost active elements such as Fe and Mg cannot be readily alloyed into HEAs via conventional routes.

Terrestrial Space Weather Protection Through Human‐Produced Mass‐Loading

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract While humans become more reliant on Earth's space environment, the potential for significant harm from severe space weather continues to grow. As structures from the sun reach Earth's magnetosphere and space environment, they deposit energy that fuels geomagnetic storms.

Fluid dynamic modeling of nano-thermite reactions

open access: yesJournal of Applied Physics, 2014
This paper presents a direct numerical method based on gas dynamic equations to predict pressure evolution during the discharge of nanoenergetic materials. The direct numerical method provides for modeling reflections of the shock waves from the reactor walls that generates pressure-time fluctuations.
