Modelling of the effect of a thin stiffener on the boundary of a nonlinear thermoelastic plate

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2009
We consider a dynamic nonlinear model for a heterogeneous thermoelastic plate consisting of a thin highly rigid body of high thermal conductivity perfectly glued on a portion of the boundary of an elastic plate.

Quasi-Static Transient Thermal Stresses in an Elliptical Plate due to Sectional Heat Supply on the Curved Surfaces over the Upper Face [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics, 2018
This paper is an attempt to determine quasi-static thermal stresses in a thin elliptical plate which is subjected to transient temperature on the top face with zero temperature on the lower face and the homogeneous boundary condition of the third kind on

Computational Rheo‐Hydrodynamic Analysis of Non‐Newtonian Blood Flow Through a Tilted Ellipsoidal Stenosed Vascular Segment

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
Non‐Newtonian blood flow through multiple tilted ellipsoidal stenoses is numerically investigated using the DeKee‐Turcotte‐Papanastasiou model. The results reveal asymmetric velocity fields, elevated wall shear stress, significant pressure drops, and shear‐dependent thermal effects, highlighting the critical hemodynamic risks associated with eccentric ...

Multiple Scattering Suppression in Heterogeneous Media: High‐Precision Imaging of Sleeve Grouting Defects Based on Elastic Reverse Time Migration

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study proposes an elastic wave reverse time migration (RTM) method to suppress multiple scattering noise in heterogeneous concrete. By effectively utilizing scattered wavefields, RTM enables high‐precision, robust imaging of sleeve grouting defects in prefabricated buildings, significantly outperforming traditional algorithms.

The reflection phenomena of SV-waves in a generalized thermoelastic medium

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2000
We discuss the reflection of thermoelastic plane waves at a solid half-space nearby a vacuum. We use the generalized thermoelastic waves to study the effects of one or two thermal relaxation times on the reflection plane harmonic waves.

Self‐Expanding Cardiovascular Stents: Potentials and Challenges of Shape Memory Biomaterials

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Materials Research Part B: Applied Biomaterials, Volume 114, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Cardiovascular diseases affect a large portion of the global population and remain leading causes of morbidity and mortality. Endovascular stenting, a minimally invasive procedure, enables the insertion and deployment of stents to restore arterial patency without open surgery.
