Soviet progress in thermomechanical treatment of metals
Journal of Applied Metalworking, 1980Soviet efforts in thermomechanical treatments (TMT) have continued unabated during the last decade. The predominant strengthening mechanisms have been firmly established and procedures for simplifying the processing requirements have been developed. Substructural stabilization and hereditary treatments have received particular attention.

Thermomechanical Treatment of Metal Composite Fractions
Chemie Ingenieur Technik, 2015AbstractThe investigation focuses on shredder light fractions, electrical waste, and metal concentrates from landfills that can be treated mechanically only with difficulty. The fractions were input to a combined thermomechanical treatment to procure a high degree of composite component separation.

Precipitate phases in ferritic/martensitic steel P92 after thermomechanical treatment
Journal of Nuclear Materials, 2018Thermomechanical treatment (TMT) can effectively improve the mechanical properties of 9–12% Cr ferritic/martensitic (F/M) steels. To understand the effect of TMT on the creep properties of the steels, precipitate phases in the steels produced by TMT ...

Thermomechanical treatment of starch
2006Starch is used as a major component in many food and nonfood applications and determines the overall product properties to a large extent. It is therefore important to understand the effect of processing on starch. Many starch-based products are produced using a thermal as well as a mechanical treatment.

Preliminary thermomechanical treatment of D6AC steel
Metallurgical Transactions, 1970The effect of preliminary thermomechanical treatment on the strength, elongation, hardness, X-ray line broadening, and prior austenite grain size of D6AC steel has been investigated. In this type of treatment the deformation is performed prior to austenitizing, and rapid rate heating to the austenitizing temperature must be used.

Thermomechanical Treatment Using Substructural Strengthening
Metal Science Journal, 1973AbstractThe present position of theory and practice concerning methods of increasing the strength of ferrous and nonferrous alloys by thermomechanical and mechanical/thermal treatment is described. Special attention is given to methods using substructural strengthening as they allow combinations of high strength and good ductility to be obtained.

Stainless steel: progress in thermomechanical treatment
Current Opinion in Solid State and Materials Science, 1997Abstract Various types of thermomechanical treatments, such as controlled rolling followed by accelerated cooling (i.e. a thermomechanical control process [TMCP]) and intercritical heat treatment, have been developed in austenitic, ferritic, martensitic and duplex stainless steels in order to increase strength without sacrifice of ductility ...
