Thermoresponsive polymer-modified microfibers for cell separations
Acta Biomaterialia, 2017Thermoresponsive polymer-modified microfibers were prepared through electrospinning of poly(4-vinylbenzyl chloride) (PVBC) and subsequent surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization for grafting poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PIPAAm). Electrospinning conditions were optimized to produce large-diameter (20μm) PVBC microfibers.

A Thermoresponsive Biodegradable Polymer with Intrinsic Antioxidant Properties
Biomacromolecules, 2014Oxidative stress in tissue can contribute to chronic inflammation that impairs wound healing and the efficacy of cell-based therapies and medical devices. We describe the synthesis and characterization of a biodegradable, thermoresponsive gel with intrinsic antioxidant properties suitable for the delivery of therapeutics.

Thermoresponsive AuNPs Stabilized by Pillararene‐Containing Polymers
Macromolecular Rapid Communications, 2015Pillararene‐containing thermoresponsive polymers are synthesized via reversible addition–fragmentation chain transfer polymerization using pillararene derivatives as the effective chain transfer agents for the first time. These polymers can self‐assemble into micelles and form vesicles after guest molecules are added.
