We present tight bounds on the spanning ratio of a large family of ordered $\theta$-graphs. A $\theta$-graph partitions the plane around each vertex into $m$ disjoint cones, each having aperture $\theta = 2 \pi/m$.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

On Frobenius' Theta Formula [PDF]
Mumford's well-known characterization of the hyperelliptic locus of the moduli space of ppavs in terms of vanishing and non-vanishing theta constants is based on Neumann's dynamical system. Poor's approach to the characterization uses the cross ratio. A key tool in both methods is Frobenius' theta formula, which follows from Riemann's theta formula. In

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

$\Theta$-Hilbertianity and strong $\Theta$-Hilbertianity
$\Theta$-Hilbertianity and its strengthening, strong $\Theta$-Hilbertianity, are two generalizations of Hilbertianity inspired by Jarden's definition of $p$-Hilbertianity and strong $p$-Hilbertianity. Jarden has asked whether the two notions defined by him are actually the same.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Lyapunov exponents for families of rotated linear cocycles
In this work, we are interested in the study of the upper Lyapunov exponent $\lambda^+(\theta)$ associated to the periodic family of cocycles defined by $$A_\theta(x):=A(x)R_\theta,\qquad x\in X,$$ where $A\::\: X\to \mathbb{GL}^+(2,\mathbb{R})$ is a ...
