Gamma-band neuronal synchronization during sentence-level language comprehension has previously been linked with semantic unification. Here we attempt to further narrow down the functional significance of gamma during language comprehension, by ...

Rotations and Tangent Processes on Wiener Space
The paper considers (a) Representations of measure preserving transformations (``rotations'') on Wiener space, and (b) The stochastic calculus of variations induced by parameterized rotations $\{T_\theta w, 0 \le \theta \le \eps\}$: ``Directional ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

We define theta blocks as products of Jacobi theta functions divided by powers of the Dedekind eta function and show that they give a new powerful method to construct Jacobi forms and Siegel modular forms, with applications also in lattice theory and algebraic geometry. One of the central questions is when a theta block defines a Jacobi form.

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Lyapunov exponents for families of rotated linear cocycles
In this work, we are interested in the study of the upper Lyapunov exponent $\lambda^+(\theta)$ associated to the periodic family of cocycles defined by $$A_\theta(x):=A(x)R_\theta,\qquad x\in X,$$ where $A\::\: X\to \mathbb{GL}^+(2,\mathbb{R})$ is a ...

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Prefrontal-Hippocampal Pathways Through the Nucleus Reuniens Are Functionally Biased by Brain State
Circuit-level communication between disparate brain regions is fundamental for the complexities of the central nervous system operation. Co-ordinated bouts of rhythmic activity between the prefrontal cortex (PFC) and hippocampus (HPC), in particular, are
