Identifying Oscillation‐Vulnerable Buses Using Impedance‐Based Reflection Coefficient
We propose a method to identify oscillation‐vulnerable buses by applying the Barkhausen criterion to an impedance‐based reflection‐coefficient analysis in power systems. The method computes the reflection‐coefficient magnitude and phase from the Thevenin impedance seen from each bus and the corresponding load impedance, and evaluates phase variations ...

ABSTRACT Renewable energy bases in Desert‐Gobi‐Wasteland (DGW) areas connected with high‐voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems show notable weak‐grid features, including low inertia, weak damping and a low short‐circuit ratio. This results in strong active power–voltage (P–V) coupling effects, making existing real‐time active power control

Ferromagnetically Shielded Fault Current Limiter (FS‐FCL) Evaluation in Power Line
This study introduces a new ferromagnetically shielded FS‐FCL design and its control strategy for limiting and interrupting fault currents. The fully shielded core structure enhances inductance and prevents saturation, enabling an immediate fault response without causing voltage drop during normal conditions.

Online parameter identification for equivalent circuit model of lithium-ion battery
Parameter identification is the most fundamental task for the model-based battery management system. However, there are some difficulties in completing this task since most of the existing methods require at least one known parameter or a time-consuming ...

Stability and Synchronization of MMC‐HVDC Systems Using SRF and Inertia‐Based PLLs
This study investigates the influence of synchronous reference frame PLL (SRF‐PLL) and the inertia PLL (IPLL) on the stability of grid‐connected modular multilevel converter high voltage direct current (MMC‐HVDC) systems. The findings highlight intrinsic stability limitations of PLL‐based systems, offering insights toward more stable, PLL‐less ...

ABSTRACT The IEEE Std 519–2022 IEEE Standard for harmonic control in electric power systems is widely used for controlling the harmonics in the electric power system. It uses the total demand distortion (TDD) for current harmonic evaluation at the point of common coupling (PCC).
