This article investigates companionate processes of self‐making in a religious community of Catholic nuns in eastern Indonesia. I argue that the sociality of the convent establishes a unique context for understanding the effects of one's company on processes of self‐becoming.

ABSTRACT In 2019, the Dadan Archaeological Project (CNRS/RCU/AFALULA) identified a Late Antique village 1 km south of ancient Dadan in the al‐ʿUlā valley (northwest Saudi Arabia). ABSTRACT Al Uyaynah is a low sandstone mound on an alluvial plain, long known for its extensive surface remains of stone‐built circular and rectangular structures.
