Bending Analysis of Thick Isotropic Plates by Using 5th Order Shear Deformation Theory [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics, 2016
A 5th order shear deformation theory considering transverse shear deformation effect as well as transverse normal strain deformation effect is presented for static flexure   analysis of simply supported isotropic plate.

A NEW REFINED THEORY OF PLATES WITH TRANSVERSE SHEAR DEFORMATION FOR MODERATELY THICK AND THICK PLATES

open access: yesLatin American Applied Research - An international journal, 2016
In this paper we propose a new refined shear deformation plate theory which possesses a series of desirable features, the most salient of which are as follows: (1) loads, which are generally applied on the middle surface of the plate, act on the upper surface of the plate; (2) equations applicable to the calculation of the stresses in isotropic plates

Parametric Earthquake Analysis of Thick Plates Using Mindlin’s Theory [PDF]

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2010
The purpose of this paper is to study parametric earthquake analysis of thick plates using Mindlin's theory, to determine the effects of the thickness/span ratio, the aspect ratio and the boundary conditions on the linear responses of thick plates subjected to earthquake excitations and to present the frequency parameters and the mode shapes of the ...

Buckling of orthotropic plates with bimoments

open access: yesИнженерно-строительный журнал, 2015
The paper is dedicated to improvement of plate theory in order to take into account forces, moments and bimoments, generated by nonlinear law of displacement distribution in plate cross-sections.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Application of the Method of Initial Functions to Study Dynamics and Stress Distribution in Structural Members

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering
This study investigates plate analyses employing the method of initial functions (MIFs) across various plate geometries and loading conditions. The conclusions derived from thick rectangular plates highlight substantial thickness-induced effects on ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.
