The flow properties of foam [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
The rheological behaviour of foam, prepared from an aqueous solution with lauryl sulphate as surfactant, has been measured with a viscometer as a function of the blow ratio, bubble diameter distribution and concentration of the thickener used.

Assessing the Sensitivity and the Clinical Impact of the 2023 American College of Rheumatology/EULAR Classification Criteria in Obstetric Antiphospholid Syndrome: Findings From a Multicenter Italian Cohort With a Long‐Term Follow‐Up

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the sensitivity of the 2023 American College of Rheumatology (ACR)/EULAR classification criteria for antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) in a real‐world cohort of women diagnosed with primary obstetric APS (oAPS) and to assess their ability to identify patients at risk of future pregnancy complications ...

Artificial Intelligence in Systemic Sclerosis: Clinical Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

Optimization of flocculant dosage for solid-liquid separation process on the slurry obtained from leaching process of Saghand Anomaly 1 soil [PDF]

open access: yesمجله علوم و فنون هسته‌ای, 2016
In this paper, a process for solid-liquid separation was investigated by thickening method on the slurry obtained from leaching process under optimum conditions (Saghand Anomaly 1 soil). In mineral processing industries, the correct selection of the type

Tribology of polypropylene and Li-complex greases with ZDDP and MoDTC additives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The influence of thickener and additive interactions on grease lubricating performance is examined. Polypropylene and lithium complex thickened (Li-complex) greases were tested both as neat greases and with a 2 wt% addition of ZDDP and/or MoDTC.

Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Service Life of Lubricating Grease in Ball Bearings (Part 1) Behavior of Grease and Its Base Oil in a Ball Bearing

open access: yesTribology Online, 2021
The life of rolling bearings can be limited by sudden increase in friction torque due to exhaustion of lubricant after long-term operations. With the purpose of developing grease having long “service life”, research has been conducted with angular ...
