Microbial degradation of thidiazuron and its photoproduct

Archives of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 1982
Degradation of the cotton defoliant thidiazuron and its photoproduct photothidiazuron by soil and thirteen species of microorganisms was examined. Aspergillus versicolor, Torula rosea, and Flavobacter sp. were most active in degrading thidiazuron. Unknown water-soluble metabolites and phenylurea were the major products. A.

Effects of thidiazuron on micropropagation of rose

In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology - Plant, 1995
Rose (Rose hybrida L.) plants were micropropagated by axillary shoot proliferation method. Maximum number of microshoots per shoot tip explant were obtained on MS medium supplemented with 5 to 10µM thidiazuron (TDZ). The microshoots formed rooted plants on MS hormone-free medium. No difference in the rooting of microshoots produced on medium containing

Imidazolium ionic-liquid-modified phenolic resin for solid-phase extraction of thidiazuron and forchlorfenuron from cucumbers.

Journal of Chromatography A, 2020
An imidazolium ionic-liquid-modified phenolic resin (ILPR) was synthesized using 3-aminophenol as a functional monomer, glyoxylic acid as a green cross-linker, and polyethylene glycol 6000 as a porogen.

Impact of activated charcoal, culture medium strength and thidiazuron on non-symbiotic in vitro seed germination of Pecteilis radiata (Thunb.) Raf.

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Botany, 2019
We investigated the effects of activated charcoal (AC), culture medium strength and various levels of thidiazuron (TDZ) on asymbiotic in vitro seed germination and seedlings development of Pecteilis radiata, an endangered terrestrial orchid.

Morphoregulatory role of thidiazuron: morphogenesis of root outgrowths in thidiazuron-treated geranium (Pelargonium x hortorum Bailey)

Plant Cell Reports, 1995
Root outgrowths formed on the root tissue of geranium (Pelargonium x hortorum Bailey cv. Kim and cv. Shone Helena) plants in response to treatment with the phenylurea derivative, thidiazuron (N-phenyl-N'-1,2,3-thiadiazol-5'-ylurea; TDZ). Treatment with the cytokinin N(6)-benzylaminopurine (BAP) or the auxin α-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) did not result

MICROPROPAGATION OF AZALEAS USING THIDIAZURON

Acta Horticulturae, 1988
Rhododendron sp., deciduous azaleas are routinely grown in vitro using N°C-(2-isopentenyl)-adenine (2ip) as the cytokinin. Actively multiplying cultures of cvs. 'Gilbraltar', 'Peachy Keen', and 'Tobasco' were placed onto a woody plant medium containing various concentrations of N-phenyl-N'-1,2,3-thiadiazol-5-ylurea (thidiazuron, TDZ) to determine ...

Thidiazuron-induced morphogenesis in tamarind seedlings

In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology - Plant, 2005
Germination of tamarind seeds in medium containing thidiazuron (TDZ) resulted in induction of nodular protrusions in and around the cotyledonary node meristem. The structures developed radially in well-defined circles and subsequently spread towards the cotyledonary bridge and also in the proximal part of the hypocotyl.

Effects of thidiazuron and ethephon on the grain filling and dehydration characteristics of maize in Northeast China

Archives of Agronomy and Soil Science, 2020
A mixture of ethephon (ETH) and thidiazuron (TDZ) (called ETTD) has been proven to effectively reduce maize grain moisture content and improve yield and quality of mechanical grain harvesting, but the underlying mechanism is unclear.
