Cytokinin Activity Induced by Thidiazuron [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 1986
The diphenylurea derivative thidiazuron induces a variety of cytokinin responses. Levels above 5 x 10(-9) molar and 4 x 10(-7) molar stimulate maximum soybean callus growth and radish cotyledon expansion, respectively. A wider range of dose response related effects follows thidiazuron induced tobacco plant regeneration.

Genetic modification of Water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica), a genoprotective perennial leafy green. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysiol Plant
Abstract Improvement of leafy greens, especially perennials with year‐round harvesting, is binding to the food security drive. “Food for All” by WHO demands the improvement of regional crops due to the agroclimatic specificity to ensure regional food security.

A Cytokinin Analog Thidiazuron Suppresses Shoot Growth in Potted Rose Plants via the Gibberellic Acid Pathway

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2021
Application of thidiazuron (N-phenyl-N′-1,2,3-thiadiazol-5-ylurea, TDZ), a cytokinin analog, to inhibit the leaf yellowing that occurs after pinching potted rose plants, resulted in compact plants with shorter shoots and thicker internodes.

Foliar Thidiazuron Promotes the Growth of Axillary Buds in Strawberry

open access: yesAgronomy, 2021
Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa Duch.) can be easily propagated with daughter plants or through crown division, which are developed from the axillary bud at the axils of leaves. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of different cytokinins,

Study of the genetic variability of adventive microshoots of Picea pungens Engelm., using DNA markers and flow cytometry [PDF]

open access: yesСибирский лесной журнал, 2020
For the first time, the genetic variability/stability of blue spruce Picea pungens Engelm. microshoots obtained in vitro by direct regeneration from zygotic embryos under the influence of a synthetic growth regulator with cytokinin activity N-phenyl-N ...

6-Benzylamino purine outperforms Kinetin and Thidiazuron in ameliorating flower longevity in Calendula officinalis L. by orchestrating physiological and biochemical responses

open access: yes, 2021
In view of extending the relatively brief postharvest life of flowers by a range of technologies, the present study elucidates the implication of 6-benzylamino purine (BAP), kinetin (KN) and thidiazuron (TDZ) on postharvest performance and flower ...

Thidiazuron-induced shoot organogenesis from mature leaf explants of scented Pelargonium capitatum cultivars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Shoot organogenesis from mature leaf tissues of two scented Pelargonium capitatum cultivars, ‘Attar of Roses’ and ‘Atomic Snowflake’, grown in the greenhouse, were optimized in the presence of thidiazuron (TDZ).

In vitro organogenesis as an efficient method for the propagation of Dalbergia nigra

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira, 2022
The objective of this work was to establish an efficient protocol for the in vitro organogenesis of Dalbergia nigra. For this purpose, 30-day-old seedlings were sectioned at their cotyledonary nodes and nodal segments.

Plant growth regulators to increase fruit set and yield of ‘Rocha’ pear trees in Southern Brazil [PDF]

open access: yesAnais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências, 2021
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of different aminoethoxyvinilglycine (AVG), thidiazuron (TDZ) and prohexadione calcium (P-Ca) rates sprayed at different timings on fruit set, yield, and fruit quality of ‘Rocha’ pear trees in different ...
