Dual‐Plane Engineered GO‐Shielded GaN Core–Shell Nanowires for Cl−‐Resilient and Durable Seawater Splitting Photoelectrodes

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The double‐bond phenomenon enables dual energy band mechanisms that enhance the efficiency of seawater splitting. Atomic interactions at the GO/GaN interface encompass various configurations, such as van der Waals interactions, covalent interactions, type‐II and Z‐scheme alignments, and chloride‐ion repulsion.

Analytical Method for thin-walled members in general bending and torsion

open access: yes, 1988
The classical theory of thin-walled members has been applied extensively in practice. Since the theory was based on the assumption of no shear deformation, it is unable to reflect some of the important phenomena such as shear lag in structures.

Antimicrobial Peptides and Peptidomimetics in Foods – A Synthetic Foray

open access: yesChemFoodChem, EarlyView.
This Review discusses AMPs in foods and their syntheses. It espouses facile methods to make them accessible and suggests their utility in the mitigation and eradication of the burgeoning maladies of antimicrobial and multidrug resistance (AMR and MDR).

Bolapolyphiles With Bulky Carbosilane‐Based Lateral Groups—Reticular Design of Liquid Crystalline Pentagonal Honeycombs

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
T‐shaped bolapolyphiles with highly branched carbosilane‐based side‐groups self‐assemble into liquid crystalline honeycombs composed of type‐2 pentagonal prismatic cells and p2gg plane group symmetry. ABSTRACT Periodic pentagon tessellations are rarely observed in self‐assembled molecular systems.

Towards Halogen Bonding MOFs: Networking With a Polyiodinated and Perfluorinated Terphenyl Ligand and Divalent Zinc

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
One ligand, three new architectures with different intermolecular interactions: a polyhalogenated terphenyl linker with carboxyl groups coordinates Zn2+ to form (i) a metal‐containing hydrogen‐bonded organic framework; (ii) a metal‐organic framework or (iii) one‐dimensional metal‐organic chains with intermolecular halogen bonding and hydrogen bonding ...
