Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

The Techniques of Thin Layer Chromatography and the Study of Carbohydrates Using Thin Layer Chromatography [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
Refined Kraft pulp is found to contain D (+), Mannose, D (+) Xylose, and Glucose; and not to contain Galactose. Silia gel plates and Kieselguhr plates were used for the separation.

Application of Thin Layer Chromatography (Tlc) and Gass Chromatography-mass Spektroscopy (Gc-ms) as Analysis Technique of Phitosterol Compounds in Water Extract of Bean Fruit (Phaseolus Vulgaris L.) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Phytosterols are vegetable sterols, included in secondary metabolite compounds and have broad benefits in the health field. Sources of natural ingredients containing phytosterol compounds have been widely used as medicinal ingredients, one of which is ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Removing Homocoupling Defects in Alkoxy/Alkyl‐PBTTT Enhances Polymer:Fullerene Co‐Crystal Formation and Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...

Organic Electrochemical Transistor Channel Materials: Copolymerization Versus Physical Mixing of Glycolated and Alkoxylated Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work discusses the use of blended channel materials in OECTs. It explores how mixing glycolated and alkoxylated polymers in various ratios offers a simpler and more efficient route to tuning OECT properties. The performance of the polymer blends is compared to the corresponding copolymers, demonstrating similar OECT characteristics, swelling ...

Chemiluminescence detection of gangliosides by thin-layer chromatography.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1995
We describe a method for the detection of gangliosides on thin-layer chromatography plates using enhanced chemiluminescence. In contrast to previously published colorimetric techniques, the use of chemiluminescence of detect antibody binding to ...
