Schr\"odinger Operators with Thin Spectra
The determination of the spectrum of a Schr\"odinger operator is a fundamental problem in mathematical quantum mechanics. We discuss a series of results showing that Schr\"odinger operators can exhibit spectra that are remarkably thin in the sense of Lebesgue measure and fractal dimensions.

Expectation thinning operators based on linear fractional probability generating functions [PDF]
We introduce a two-parameter expectation thinning operator based on a linear fractional probability generating function. The operator is then used to define a first-order integer-valued autoregressive \inar1 process.

Multimode Oxide‐Based Optoelectronic Memtransistor for In‐Sensor Vision Processing
A multimode optoelectronic memtransistor (OEMT) is demonstrated for vision explainable artificial intelligence (VXAI) hardware. By integrating optical sensing, electrical masking, and non‐volatile memory, the device enables key operations required for generating saliency information.

Crop thinning of merlot - a Queensland perspective [PDF]
Merlot is one of the major wine grapes planted in Queensland, however with the wine industry in Queensland being relatively new there is limited knowledge of best practice for production of quality fruit for wine production in the state.

Strong Lead‐Free Bioinspired Piezoceramics for Durable Energy Transducers
We fabricated brick‐and‐mortar lead‐free piezoceramics with Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 monocrystal platelets as bricks and amorphous silica as mortar. The alignment of the bricks and the presence of the amorphous silica led to anisotropic residual stresses. These residual stresses increase the samples toughness, strength and durability while the brick alignment ...
