Novel synthesis of allyl and cyclopropylcarbinyl thiocyanates by the reaction of organocobaloximes with thiocyanogen

open access: yes, 2002
970-972Thioeyanogen reacts in aprotic solvents with allyl and but-3- enyl cobaloximes to give moderate yields of allyl and cyclopropylcarbinyl thiocyanates.

Molecular Docking of Potential Inhibitors of Broccoli Myrosinase

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
Glucosinolates are secondary metabolites occurring in Brassicaceae plants whose hydrolysis may yield isothiocyanates, widely recognized as health-promoting compounds. Myrosinase catalyzes this conversion.

Investigation of eosin Y as a colorimetric sensor for the detection of fentanyl hydrochloride and fentanyl freebase

open access: yesJournal of Forensic Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract The increasing prevalence of fentanyl within the illegal global drug market underscores the need for rapid, low‐cost, and straightforward detection methods. Eosin Y demonstrates a measurable color change in the presence of fentanyl, making it a promising candidate for colorimetric sensing and preliminary identification of fentanyl ...

IgE Antibody Function and Mast Cell Activation to Egg in Children Undergoing Baked and Loosely Cooked Egg Challenges

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
MAT is dependent on the presence of allergen‐specific IgE and can provide false‐negative results in allergic patients with low allergen‐specific IgE levels. MAT and BAT are moderately correlated. MAT can be used as a surrogate of BAT, when fresh blood is not available or in the case of patients with non‐releaser basophils.

A Modified Cas9 Scaffold Allows Extension of the Virus‐Induced Gene Editing Technology to the Large Potyvirus Genus

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Plant viruses are recognized as rapid and effective vectors to deliver CRISPR‐Cas reaction components into plants, a strategy termed virus‐induced gene editing (VIGE). However, VIGE is limited by the host range of the viral vectors. Development of new viral vectors to target a broad range of plant species will potentially enable the delivery ...

Copper-Catalyzed Intermolecular Trifluoromethylthiocyanation of Alkenes: Convenient Access to CF3‑Containing Alkyl Thiocyanates

open access: yes, 2015
A highly selective and efficient approach for the direct trifluoromethylthiocyanation of alkenes has been developed using trimethylsilyl isothiocyanate (TMSNCS) as the thiocyanating agent and Togni reagent as the CF3 source in the presence of copper(I ...
