Molecular vibrations of pyridine-2-thione and pyrimidine-2-thione
Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular Spectroscopy, 1985Molecular vibrational analyses of two biochemically important molecules, namely pyridine-2-thione and pyrimidine-2-thione, have been made for all the fundamentals employing the Urey-Bradley potential function supplemented with valence force function for the out-of-plane vibrations. The spectra of N-deuterated molecules have also been utilized.

Five-membered Heterocyclic Thiones. Part I. 1,3,4-Oxadiazole-2-thione
Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 19721,3,4-Oxadiazole-2-thione was prepared by decarboxylation of the corresponding 5-carboxylic acid. Spectral data supported the predominant, if not exclusive, existence of the thione form in solution.

5-tert-Butylthiazolidine-2-thione and 5-Phenylthiazolidine-2-thione
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1996In the title compounds, C 7 H 13 NS 2 , (I), and C 9 H 9 NS 2 , (II), the heterocycle adopts a half-chair conformation with a torsion angle τ = S1-C5-C4-N3 equal to 27.5 (4)° in (I) and 30.0 (3)° in (II). In both crystals, a hydrogen bond between the thione group and the N atom is observed, the corresponding S2...N3 distance being equal to 3.367 (8)A ...

Oxazolidine-2-thiones and Thiazolidine-2-thiones as Nucleophiles in Intermolecular Michael Additions
Organic Letters, 2012Conjugate addition of thiazolidinethiones and oxazolidinethiones to N-crotonylthiazolidinethiones and -oxazolidinethiones was observed in the presence of excess triethylamine in dichloromethane. The addition takes place by the nitrogen of the heterocycle with high diastereoselectivity.

Tautomérie D'Imidazoline‐5‐Thiones
Bulletin des Sociétés Chimiques Belges, 1977AbstractThe tautomeric behaviour of various imidazolin‐5‐thiones is examined. In the 2,2,4‐trisubstituted series, the thiocarbonyl NH form constitutes the lone tautomer observed in all types of solvents. For the 2,4,4‐trisubstituted compounds, the predominant isomer exists in the 1‐NH form and is accompagnied in most cases by a minor percentage of the 3‐
