Modulation of Three p‑Type Polymers Containing a Fluorinated-Thiophene-Fused-Benzotriazole Unit To Pair with a Benzotriazole-Based Non-fullerene Acceptor for High VOC Organic Solar Cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Three 6-fluoro-thieno[2′,3′:4,5]benzo[1,2-d][1,2,3]triazole (fBTAZT) containing copolymers, named as PfBTAZT-H, PfBTAZT-F, and PfBTAZT-Cl, were employed to pair with a benzo[1,2-d][1,2,3]triazole (BTA) based non-fullerene acceptor BTA3 for the ...

The “simple” photochemistry of thiophene

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics
The static gas-phase (“simple”) ultraviolet absorption spectrum of thiophene is investigated using a combination of a vibronic coupling model Hamiltonian with multi-configuration time-dependent Hartree quantum dynamics simulations. The model includes five states and all 21 vibrations, with potential surfaces calculated at the complete active space with

Intimate Interaction Between Nucleic Acid and Conjugated Polymers in Organic Electrochemical Transistors Enables Ultrasensitive Biomarker Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The intimate interaction between negatively charged RNA molecules and conjugated polymers in organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) in aqueous electrolytes is investigated. It demonstrates that RNA binding reduces the volumetric capacitance of the polymer channel, enabling the development of an ultrasensitive biosensing platform capable of ...

Solvent‐Guided Chiral Assemblies and Chemical Doping of OEG‐Functionalized Conjugated Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Solvent‐dependent aggregation pathways dictate whether conjugated polymers form chiral lyotropic liquid‐crystalline assemblies or achiral packed aggregates. Mapping solvent‐controlled β₁ and β2 states reveals that weaker backbone association favors β₁ aggregates and reorganizable twisted mesophases, whereas stronger backbone association favors β2 ...

Printed SWCNT‐Based p–n Junction Thin‐Film Near‐Infrared Photoresistors Enabled by a Sustainable Furan‐Derived π‐Conjugated Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A sustainable polymer–carbon nanotube bilayer enables efficient near‐infrared photodetection in a simple lateral planar p–n junction thin‐film architecture. Thermal side‐chain cleavage enhances interfacial coupling, shifts the dominant photoresponse from 800 to 1000 nm, and substantially improves device performance.

Vibrational study of organometallic complexes with Thiophene Ligands : models for adsorbed Thiophene on hydrodesulfurization catalysts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Interpretation and comparison of the vibrational spectra of organometallic complexes containing thiophene ligands with IR spectra of adsorbed thiophene on sulfided Mo/Al2O3 catalysts have permitted a definitive assignment of the adsorption mode of the ...
