Fused thiophene derivatives as MEK inhibitors
Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2012A number of novel fused thiophene derivatives have been prepared and identified as potent inhibitors of MEK. The SAR data of selected examples and the in vivo profiling of compound 13 h demonstrates the functional activity of this class of compounds in HT-29 PK/PD models.

Reaction of Dicarbomethoxycarbene with Thiophene Derivatives
The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2009Photolysis of derivatives of dimethylmalonate thiophene-S,C-ylide provides dicarbomethoxycarbene, which can react with thiophene to form dimethyl (2-thienyl)malonate. By generation of dicarbomethoxycarbene from the dibenzothiophene-based ylide in neat thiophene, it is shown that the thienylmalonate is not a product of rearrangement of the thiophene ...

Organic laser based on thiophene derivatives
Synthetic Metals, 2003Abstract Laser action is obtained from two different neat films of electroluminescent oligothiophenes. The emissions are tunable, from the yellow to the red, on wavelength ranges up to 37 nm centered around 600 nm, in single-mode with a TEM 00 beam quality. The lasers exhibit low pump thresholds and efficiencies up to 1.7%.

Benzo[b]thiophene derivatives. VIII. Benzo[b]thiophene‐3‐earboxaldehyde and derivatives
Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, 1966AbstractA procedure for the preparation of benzo[b]thiophene‐3‐carboxaldehyde from 3‐methyl‐benzo[b]thiophene is reported. This aldehyde behaves as a typical reactive aromatic aldehyde with respect to oxidation, reduction, the mixed Cannizzaro reaction, reductive amination and acyloin and other condensation reactions.

We synthesized an optically active and regioregular poly(3-substituted thiophene), head-to-tail poly(3-[2-((S)-2-methylbutoxy)ethyl]thiophene (HT-P(S)MBET), according to a modified Rieke method. The HT-P(S)MBET was an optically active polymer with the head-to-tail linkage of 94 %. HT-P(S)MBET films showed longer maximum absorption wavelengths and lower

Novel Ferrocene-Containing Thiophene Derivatives
Doklady Chemistry, 2019A new 2-amino-4-ferrocenylthiophene-3-carbonitrile has been obtained by Gewald reaction, the compound has been converted into Schiff bases as precursors for new optoelectronic and magnetic materials. The structure of the prepared compounds has been established by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, and 1H NMR.
