Improvement of the solubilization of proteins in two-dimensional electrophoresis with immobilized pH gradients [PDF]

open access: yesElectrophoresis 18 (31/03/1997) 307-16, 2006
Membrane and nuclear proteins of poor solubility have been separated by high resolution two-dimensional (2-D) gel electrophoresis. Isoelectric focusing with immobilized pH gradients leads to severe quantitative losses of proteins in the resulting 2-D map, although the resolution is usually high.

Easy-plane antiferromagnet in tilted field: gap in magnon spectrum and susceptibility [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Motivated by recent experimental data on dichloro-tetrakis thiourea-nickel (DTN) [T.A. Soldatov $\textit{et al}$, Phys. Rev. B ${\bf 101}$, 104410 (2020)], a model of antiferromagnet on a tetragonal lattice with single-ion easy-plane anisotropy in the tilted external magnetic field is considered.

A Breakthrough Efficiency of 19.9% Obtained in Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells by Using an Efficient Trap State Passivator Cu(thiourea)I.

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2017
It is extremely significant to study the trap state passivation and minimize the trap states of perovskite to achieve high-performance perovskite solar cells (PSCs).

A Selenourea-Thiourea Brønsted Acid Catalyst Facilitates Asymmetric Conjugate Additions of Amines to α,β-Unsaturated Esters.

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2020
β-Amino esters are obtained with high levels of enantioselectivity via the conjugate addition of cyclic amines to unactivated α,β-unsaturated esters. A related strategy enables the kinetic resolution of racemic cyclic 2-arylamines, using benzyl acrylate ...

Bioinspired tetraamino-bisthiourea chiral macrocycles in catalyzing decarboxylative Mannich reactions

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2022
A series of tetraamino-bisthiourea chiral macrocycles containing two diarylthiourea and two chiral diamine units were synthesized by a fragment-coupling approach in high yields.

Four Different Crystalline Products from One Reaction: Unexpected Diversity of Products of the CuCl2 Reaction with N-(2-Pyridyl)thiourea

open access: yesActa Chimica Slovenica, 2020
The reaction of N-(2-pyridyl)thiourea with CuCl2 in methanol yields four different crystalline products: yellow dimeric complex, [Cu2Cl2(µ-Cl)2(L)2] (1), red polymeric complex, [Cu3Cl8L2]n (2), orange crystalline product with ionic structure, L2[CuCl4 ...

1-[N-Methyl-N-(Phenyl)amino]-3-(4-Methylphenyl)–Thiourea

open access: yesMolbank, 2019
The title compound, 1-[N-methyl-N-(phenyl)amino]-3-(4-methylphenyl)thiourea (1), was synthesized by the reaction of 1-methyl-1-phenyl hydrazine and 4-tolyl isothiocyanate, and was characterized by spectroscopy (1H and 13C{1H} NMR, IR, and UV), elemental ...

New ways to synthesize lead sulfide nanosheets - substituted alkanes direct the growth of 2D nanostructures [PDF]

open access: yesNanotechnology 27 (2016) 355602, 2016
Two-dimensional colloidal nanosheets represent very attractive optoelectronic materials. They combine good lateral conductivity with solution-processability and geometry-tunable electronic properties. In case of PbS nanosheets, so far the synthesis was driven by the addition of chloroalkanes as coligands.

Adsorptive Removal of Mercury by Zeolites and Montmorillonite

open access: yesJournal of Natural Resources and Environmental Management, 2019
The environmental pollution by the drainage containing heavy metals such as Hg is a serious problem in mining activities in Indonesia. We examined the effect of coexisting thiourea on the adsorptive removal of Hg by zeolites and montmorillonite. To a 100
