Halide Bond Assisted Double Desymmetrization of Meso‐Dicarboxylic Acids with Symmetrical Olefins via Asymmetric Halogenation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a double desymmetrization of meso‐dicarboxylic acids with symmetrical olefins, constructing complex chiral lactones with six stereocenters in one step. Unexpectedly, the halide bond was found to be crucial in achieving high stereoselectivity.

Stimuli‐Responsive Supramolecular Biomaterials for Cancer Theranostics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The ultimate goal of cancer theranostics is to get imaging agents and therapeutic cargo to tumor sites when and where they are required. “Smart” systems should be developed. This review discusses the characteristics of physiological stimuli, types and action modes of external stimuli, construction approaches and working principles, as well as ...

Ultra‐Low‐Cost Hydrophobic Organic Coating for Highly Reversible Zinc Anodes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A nanoscale hydrophobic 1,3‐Di(o‐tolyl)thiourea (DTH) layer (<14 nm) was deposited on zinc anodes for durable aqueous Zn‐ion batteries, costing merely 1.43×10−7 USD·Ah−1. By suppressing side reactions and dendrites, it achieved 2500‐cycle coin cells and a 143 Wh·kg−1 pouch cell (1200 cycles) with a record‐low additive cost (7.02×10−7 USD).

OCTN2 Activates a Non‐Canonical Carnitine Metabolic Pathway to Promote MASH‐HCC Progression and Immunotherapy Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In non‐MASH‐HCC, L‐carnitine promotes tumor progression primarily through its classical role in enhancing fatty acid oxidation (FAO). However, in MASH‐HCC, where FAO is markedly suppressed, L‐carnitine shifts from this canonical function to serve instead as an intracellular acetyl group buffer.

Molecular Cluster‐Controlled Quasi‐Epitaxial CZTSSe/CdS Heterojunction Enables 12.3% Efficiency of Flexible Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By controlling the synthesis of CdS molecular clusters, a quasi‐epitaxial heterojunction is directly constructed during chemical bath deposition, enabling flexible kesterite solar cells to achieve an efficiency of 12.3%. Abstract Flexible Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 (CZTSSe) solar cells have garnered significant attention in photovoltaics.

Synergistic Intra‐ and Inter‐Nanozyme Electron Transfer through Interfacial Assembly for Enhanced Multi‐Enzyme Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel Prussian blue‐based composite nanoenzymes (PB C‐NZs)‐MoS2/PB, was designed based on the electron transfer mechanism and transport pathway. The structure uses MoS2 as the substrate, with PB grown on its surface through a surface assembly method.
