One step growth of PVP spheres embedded with nearly monodispersive CdS nanocrystals using chemical bath deposition [PDF]
We have used simple chemical bath deposition technique to grow nearly monodispersive CdS nanocrystals in PVP matrix. Systematic study of variation of growth parameters has revealed that optimized growth of CdS nanocrystals in PVP matrix depends on relative concentration of Cd acetate/Thiourea to polyvinyl pyrrolidone in the bath.

Quantum critical scaling at a Bose-glass/superfluid transition: theory and experiment on a model quantum magnet [PDF]
In this paper we investigate the quantum phase transition from magnetic Bose glass to magnetic Bose-Einstein condensation induced by a magnetic field in NiCl2.4SC(NH2)2 (dichloro-tetrakis-thiourea-Nickel, or DTN), doped with Br (Br-DTN) or site diluted. Quantum Monte Carlo simulations for the quantum phase transition of the model Hamiltonian for Br-DTN,

A Tale of Three Mysterious Spectral Features in Carbon-Rich Evolved Stars: The 21 Micrometer, 30 Micrometer, and "Unidentified Infrared" Emission Features [PDF]
The mysterious "21 micrometer" emission feature seen almost exclusively in the short-lived protoplanetary nebula (PPN) phase of stellar evolution remains unidentified since its discovery two decades ago. This feature is always accompanied by the equally mysterious, unidentified "30 micrometer" feature and the so-called "unidentified infrared" (UIR ...

Growth by SR method and characterization of bis(thiourea)zinc(II) chloride single crystals [PDF]
Large size single crystals of bis(thiourea)zinc(II) chloride (BTZC), a potential nonlinear optical material, have been grown successfully by the Sankaranarayanan Ramasamy (SR) method. Powder X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared analyses confirmed the material of the grown crystal.
