Thiram - Toxic inhalational lung injury

open access: yesAnnals of Agricultural and Environmental Medicine, 2019
Thiram, a fungicides, is widely used on seeds and as foliar agent on turf, vegetables and fruit. It is also used in the rubber industry as a vulcanization accelerator. When absorbed through the respiratory system, it is rapidly metabolised to dimethylthiocarbamate and carbon disulphide, causing noxious effects.

Interaction of Thiram with Glassy Carbon Electrode Surfaces under Applied Potentials Conditions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2008
Degradation of thiram is greatly facilitated by potential application, where the major oxidation appears at +0.75 V at glassy carbon electrodes in the aqueous KCl medium.

Low-dose thiram exposure elicits dysregulation of the gut microbial ecology in broiler chickens

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
Thiram, a typical fungicide pesticide, is widely used in agricultural production. The presence of thiram residues is not only due to over-utilization, but is also primarily attributed to long-term accumulation.

Microbiological Determination of Thiram

open access: yesJournal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL, 1973
Abstract A rapid and simple agar plate method has been developed for the microbiological determination of thiram, using Saccharomyces carlsbergensis ATCC 9080 as the test organism. With this organism, as little as 25 ng thiram/ well or 200 ng/disk can be detected, well below the levels that can be detected with either Bacillus ...
