Evaluating Thiram‐Induced Embryotoxicity Using Integrated In Silico, In Vitro, and Transcriptomic Approaches

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Long‐term exposure to low‐dose food contact materials (FCMs) has raised concerns regarding developmental toxicity. In the present study, we prioritized FCMs with potential developmental toxicity using a weight‐of‐evidence computational model, which predicted 127 chemicals to be of high concern.

Leaf Tissue‐Specific Phosphorus Allocation Is Linked to Leaf Lifespan in Chickpea Accessions

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Plants strategically allocate phosphorus (P) among leaf tissues to support physiological functions. However, there is limited understanding of contrasting leaf cellular P‐allocation patterns and their physiological consequences. We quantified leaf P fractions, photosynthetic P‐use efficiency (PPUE), and P‐remobilisation efficiency (PRE) in ...

Synergetic effect of silver nanoparticles and thiram on lipid bilayers

open access: yes, 2022
The excessive concentration of nanomaterials and pesticides in industrial products, food, and in the environment can be a risk to human health. Exposure to these materials can occur through inhalation, dermal contact, or oral ingestion, which depends ...

Pathomorphological Changes in Thiram Toxicosis in Broiler Chicken

open access: yes, 2007
: Thiram a fungicide used for treating corn and for storing food grains were incorporated at 15, 30 and 60 ppm into the toxin free diet of broiler chicken for four weeks from the day of hatch.

Resistance of Rhizobium strains to phygon, spergon, and thiram [PDF]

open access: yesApplied and Environmental Microbiology, 1977
Strains of Rhizobium meliloti, Rhizobium sp. nodulating cowpeas, and R. phaseoli derived from cultures susceptible to tetramethylthiuram disulfide (thiram), 2,3-dichloro-1,4-naphthoquinone (phygon), and 2,3,5,6-tetrachloro-p-benzoquinone (spergon), respectively, grew in the presence of high concentrations of the fungicides and converted them to ...

Concurrent Increases in Root Phosphorus Acquisition and Leaf Phosphorus Resorption Underpin Enhanced Phosphorus Economy in Chickpea During Reproductive Development

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Phosphorus (P) acquisition and leaf P‐use strategies are critical for reproductive success and productivity, yet, their developmental association during the reproductive phase remains unclear. Five chickpea accessions contrasting in P‐remobilisation efficiency (PRE) were grown in a temperature‐controlled glasshouse under moderate P deficiency.

Mitochondrial Respiratory Metabolism in Salt‐Stressed Barley (Hordeum vulgare): TCA Cycle Activation With Limited GABA Shunt Engagement

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Plants maintain energy balance under salinity stress through increased respiration and energy use, processes also associated with reactive oxygen species generation. Although respiration imposes a high energy cost, mitochondrial respiration and the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle activity are vital for ATP production and for providing electron ...

Reconfigurable Au Nanoparticle Monolayers on Regenerated Cellulose Hydrogels: Highly Sensitive SERS Detection of Polystyrene Micro/Nanoplastics With Interpretable Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 74, 14 September 2026.
A regenerated cellulose (RC) hydrogel‐based SERS substrate integrating a Marangoni‐transferred gold nanoparticle self‐assembled monolayer (Au‐SAM) is fabricated. Reswelling‐induced hotspot formation enhances polystyrene micro/nanoplastics (PS MNPs) detection in complex matrices, providing reproducible, high‐throughput SERS signals across diverse ...

SERS Sensor Chips Based on Nanosphere Lithography on Flexible Platforms for the Detection of Chemicals, Pesticides and Nucleotides

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 5, Issue 9, September 2026.
In this paper, we propose an efficient and scalable method for creating high‐performance, flexible surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates using gap‐tunable nanosphere lithography on flexible substrates such as Kapton and PET. The applicability of the SERS sensor chips for diverse applications was demonstrated by its ability to detect ...

Genotype‐by‐environment interaction informs selection for seed physiological quality and stink bug tolerance in soybean under pest management contrasts

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 9, Page 8530-8544, September 2026.
Genotype‐by‐environment interaction shaped soybean seed stability under contrasting insecticide regimes. Seed longevity emerged as a stable, management‐relevant trait under pest pressure. High‐pressure, no‐insecticide conditions improved discrimination of tolerant genotypes for integrated pest management deployment.
