Oscillation criteria for third-order nonlinear differential equations with functional arguments
In this article, we consider the third-order nonlinear differential equations with functional arguments. By using the Riccati inequality, we find conditions for all solutions to be oscillatory.

The authors present some new oscillation criteria for third order nonlinear differential equations with a nonlinear nonpositive neutral term. The results obtained are new and improve known oscillation criteria appearing in the literature even for ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

An experimental methodology testing for prudence and third-order preferences [PDF]
We propose an experimental method to test individuals for prudence (i.e. downside risk aversion) outside the expected utility framework. Our method relies on a novel representation of compound lotteries which allows for a systematic parameterization that

Oscillation of solutions for third order functional dynamic equations
In this article we study the oscillation of solutions to the third order nonlinear functional dynamic equation $$ L_{3}(x(t))+sum_{i=0}^{n}p_i(t)Psi_k{alpha_ki}(x(h_i(t)))=0, $$ on an arbitrary time scale $mathbb{T}$.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Subharmonic oscillation in third order non-linear systems
In this paper the subharmonic oscillation with frequency n times smaller than that of exciting force is considered. The first paragraph is devoted to the formulation of problem.

Spectacle lenses and third-order distortion
Third-order formulae are developed for calculation of distortion in thin spectacle lenses, when one or both surfaces are conicoid aspherics. Solutions which allow correction of rotatory or peripheral distortion, when one lens surface is a conicoid ...
