Oscillatory and asymptotically zero solutions of third order difference equations with quasidifferences [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2006
In this paper, third order difference equations are considered. We study the nonlinear third order difference equation with quasidifferences. Using Riccati transformation techniques, we establish some sufficient conditions for each solution of this ...

A nucleotide‐independent, pan‐RAS‐targeted DARPin elicits anti‐tumor activity in a multimodal manner

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We report a Designed Ankyrin Repeat Protein that binds and inhibits RAS proteins, which serve as central cell signaling hubs and are essential for the progression of many cancers. Its unique feature is that it does not discriminate between different RAS isoforms or mutations and is capable of binding to RAS in both its active (GTP‐bound) and inactive ...

Cytomegalovirus infection is common in prostate cancer and antiviral therapies inhibit progression in disease models

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Human cytomegalovirus infection is common in normal prostate epithelium, prostate tumor tissue, and prostate cancer cell lines. CMV promotes cell survival, proliferation, and androgen receptor signaling. Anti‐CMV pharmaceutical compounds in clinical use inhibited cell expansion in prostate cancer models in vitro and in vivo, motivating investigation ...

Uniformly boundedness of a class of non-linear differential equations of third order with multiple deviating arguments

open access: yesCubo, 2012
This paper deals with a certain third-order non-linear differential equation with multiple deviating arguments. Some sufficient conditions are set up for all solutions and their derivatives to be uniformly bounded.En este artículo se estudia un tipo de ...

The critical role of DNA damage‐inducible transcript 4 (DDIT4) in stemness character of leukemia cells and leukemia initiation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Stemness properties, including quiescence, self‐renewal, and chemoresistance, are closely associated with leukemia relapse. Here, we demonstrate that DNA damage‐inducible transcript 4 (DDIT4) is induced in the hypoxic bone marrow niche and is essential for maintaining the stemness of AML1‐ETO9a leukemia cells.

Analýza sociálnej štruktúry stredovekej spoločnosti

open access: yesHistoricka Sociologie, 2014
This study concentrates on the analysis of social structure of medieval society and accordingly on the acquisition of knowledge (1) about their orderliness, (2) inner processes (3) and least partially their influence on the process of formation of West ...

On Generalized Third-Order Pell Numbers

open access: yesAsian Journal of Advanced Research and Reports, 2019
In this paper, we investigate the generalized third order Pell sequences and we deal with, in detail, three special cases which we call them third order Pell, third order Pell-Lucas and modified third order Pell sequences.

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

Fučı́k Spectrum for a Third Order Equation

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1996
The Fučík spectrum of the third order boundary value problem \[ y''' + \mu y^+ - \nu y^- = 0,\;y(0) = y'(0) = y(1) = 0 \tag{1} \] is investigated, i.e. the set of all \((\mu, \nu) \in \mathbb{R}^2\) where (1) has a nontrivial solution \(y\). The eigenvalues of (1) are the numbers \(\lambda\) for which \((\lambda, \lambda)\) belongs to the Fučík ...

Third-Order Thinking in Family Therapy: Addressing Social Justice Across Family Therapy Practice.

open access: yesFamily Process, 2018
We contend that the field of family therapy is undergoing a notable shift from second- to third-order thinking. We offer theoretical support and examples to demonstrate how third-order thinking provides a framework for integrating heightened ...
