Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Oscillatory and asymptotically zero solutions of third order difference equations with quasidifferences [PDF]
In this paper, third order difference equations are considered. We study the nonlinear third order difference equation with quasidifferences. Using Riccati transformation techniques, we establish some sufficient conditions for each solution of this ...

Higher-order reverse automatic differentiation with emphasis on the third-order [PDF]
It is commonly assumed that calculating third order information is too expensive for most applications. But we show that the directional derivative of the Hessian ($D^3f(x)\cdot d$) can be calculated at a cost proportional to that of a state-of-the-art method for calculating the Hessian matrix.

Third-order nonlinear femtosecond optical gating through highly scattering media
Discriminating between ballistic and diffuse components of light propagating through highly scattering media is not only important for imaging purposes but also for investigating the fundamental diffusion properties of the medium itself.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.
