Arterial supply of the thoracic lobes of the thymus in dogs of the Great Dane race. [PDF]

open access: yesBiotemas, 2007
The origins, numbers and type of arterial branches responsible for the blood supply of thoracic lobes of the thymus were studied in 28 stillborn dogs of the Great Dane, of which 18 were males and 10 were females.

The E3 Ligase RNF115 Aggravates Pathological Cardiac Hypertrophy via Ubiquitin‐Mediated Degradation of SPTBN1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In response to hypertrophic stimuli, increased c‑JUN phosphorylation upregulates RNF115, leading to SPTBN1 ubiquitination and degradation. which promotes F‑actin depolymerization and YAP activation, driving cardiac hypertrophy. The RNF115 inhibitor DTD effectively suppresses SPTBN1 ubiquitination and cardiac hypertrophy.

Vascularização arterial dos lobos torácicos do timo em fetos de suínos da Linhagem C40 Arterial vascularization of the thoracic lobes of the thymus in stillborns of the lineage C40

open access: yesPesquisa Veterinária Brasileira, 2009
As origens e distribuições das artérias que vascularizaram os lobos torácicos do timo foram estudadas em fetos de 30 suínos da linhagem C40, sendo 12 machos e 18 fêmeas.

An Implantable Phototriggered Prodrug Depot Patch Enables Actively Programmable Drug Release for Post‐Myocardial Infarction Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An implantable phototriggered prodrug depot patch (iPDP) is presented that enables actively programmable drug release post‐implantation. Covalently conjugated prodrug ensures minimal leakage; illumination parameters serve as a code to precisely control dose per release.

Ascending and Descending Thoracic Vertebral Arteries [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Neuroradiology, 2016
Thoracic vertebral arteries are anastomotic chains similar to cervical vertebral arteries but found at the thoracic level. Descending thoracic vertebral arteries originate from the pretransverse segment of the cervical vertebral artery and curve caudally to pass into the last transverse foramen or the first costotransverse space.

A Pathology‐Instructed Theranostic Platform with Mechanoadaptive and ROS‐Powered Nanobreathing Functions for Precision Myocardial Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a pH responsive theranostic serum albumin hydrogel named BST, functionalized with MRI and CT probes and loaded with mitochondria targeted CAT‐SOD nanogels, that rapidly self repairs and mechanically stabilizes the infarcted myocardium, releases therapeutic nanogels and albumin under hypoxia induced acidosis to clear mitochondrial ROS ...

MetaboSense: An Integrated Quantum Dot‐Mediated Aptamer Assay and Modular Microfluidic Platform for Continuous In‐Line Monitoring of Lung Metabolism During Ex Vivo Perfusion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MetaboSense is a first‐of‐its‐kind microfluidic platform enabling continuous, in‐line monitoring of glucose and lactate during ex vivo lung perfusion. Combining a quantum dot–mediated aptamer assay with mixing, depletion, and optofluidic detection modules, it achieves 60–s temporal resolution and shows strong agreement with standard blood gas analyzers,

Regional distribution and severity of arterial calcification in patients with chronic kidney disease stages 1–5: a cross-sectional study of the Copenhagen chronic kidney disease cohort

open access: yesBMC Nephrology, 2020
Background Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and arterial calcification are considered at increased risk of adverse cardiovascular outcomes. However, the optimal site for measurement of arterial calcification has not been determined. The primary
