Quantitative Dual-Isotope Planar Imaging of Thorium-227 and Radium-223 Using Defined Energy Windows
Introduction: Thorium-227 is an alpha-emitting radioisotope with potential therapeutic applications in targeted alpha therapy. Thorium-227 decays to Radium-223, which may have an independent biodistribution to that of the parent Thorium-227 ...

A Thorium(IV) metallacyclopropyne complex
Actinide metallacyclic chemistry has been of interest due to its involvement in various chemical processes. However, fundamental understanding on the key species, actinide metallacyclic complexes, is limited to metallacyclopropenes whereas little is ...

The Removal of Uranium and Thorium from Aqueous Solutions Onto by-pass Cement Dust (BCD)
The adsorption behavior of uranium and thorium from aqueous solutions by By-pass cement dust (BCD) has been investigated by a batch technique. The uranium and thorium adsorption on BCD was studied as a function of initial concentration, weight of BCD, pH,

Prospects for a Nuclear Optical Frequency Standard based on Thorium-229
The 7.6-eV-isomer of Thorium-229 offers the opportunity to perform high resolution laser spectroscopy of a nuclear transition. We give a brief review of the investigations of this isomer.

Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.
