This chapter firstly analyses the fundamental principles of the measuring system. Then, for the solution of the 3-D temperature distribution, which is an ill-posed problem, a modified Tikhonov regularization method is established. A mathematical model for calculating the temperature field of a transformer-type heating element with a spatial pole core using the finite element method is described.
