This article presents an experimental and numerical modal investigation of composite sandwich structures using surfboards as model systems. By comparing different core materials and reinforcement strategies, the study demonstrates how local stiffeners influence vibrational response and introduce characteristic modal features, highlighting modal ...

Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...

Design and Analysis of Compression–Torsion Coupling Metamaterials Using the Golden Section Method
A novel compression–torsion metamaterial is engineered using inclined rods and symmetry breaking. To optimize its torsional performance, the golden section method is employed. The mechanical response of the metamaterial is validated through both numerical analysis and experimental validation.

V-shaped bending support’ membantu dalam eksperimen ‘3-point bending test’ untuk tikus bersaiz kecil (V-shaped bending support helps in 3-point bending test experiment for small mice bone) / Noor Shafini Mohamad and Mohd Hafizi Mahmud [PDF]
Three-point bending test is one of the main methods used in long bones to characterise bone material and determine the biomechanical properties. We have examined the mechanical competencies of the mouse bones at four-week-old by using a three-point ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.
