BLOOD VESSELS SEGMENTATION BY RADIAL GRADIENT SYMMETRY METHOD VIA DIFFERENT THRESHOLD VALUES [PDF]
A Key identifier for some diseases such as arteriosclerosis, hypertension, macular edema, diabetes mellitus, and the recognition qualities of geometrical changes in retinal veins and supply routes are recognized by Retinal Vein morphology and might be ...

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

On Critical Threshold Value for Simple Games
In this note, we show that for every simple game with n players the critical threshold value is at most n/4. This verifies the conjecture of Freixas and Kurz.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

State-Dependent Threshold STAR Models [PDF]
In this paper we consider extensions of smooth transition autoregressive (STAR) models to situations where the threshold is a time-varying function of variables that affect the separation of regimes of the time series under consideration.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

tail behavior of a threshold autoregressive stochastic volatility model [PDF]
We consider a threshold autoregressive stochastic volatility model where the driving noises are sequences of iid regurlarly random vatiables. We prove that both the right and the left tails of the marginal distribution of the log-volatility process are ...
