Integral image based fast algorithm for two-dimensional Otsu thresholding
As the classic image segmentation technique, Otsu adaptive thresholding method is widely employed in image processing and computer vision. Two-dimensional Otsu thresholding algorithm was regarded as an effective improvement of the original Otsu method ...

Fast automatic multilevel thresholding method
Previous optimal thresholding methods are popular and efficient in the case of bi-level thresholding but are computationally expensive when extended to multilevel thresholding to optimise the objective functions.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Surface Water Body Detection in High-Resolution TerraSAR-X Data using Active Contour Models
This paper presents the application of two different active contour models for the segmentation of high-resolution TerraSAR-X data. Both methods facilitate the detection of land-water-boundaries in semi-automated procedures and can be used to delineate ...

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Blind white denoising of speech signals
Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) has been used in the recent years in signal processing applications, i.e. filtering and compression. In the case of denoising because the energy of the noise is spread in the entire wavelet coefficients and it has low ...

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected
