Neural Operator Modeling of Platelet Geometry and Stress in Shear Flow [PDF]
Thrombosis involves processes spanning large-scale fluid flow to sub-cellular events such as platelet activation. Traditional CFD approaches often treat blood as a continuum, which can limit their ability to capture these microscale phenomena. In this paper, we introduce a neural operator-based surrogate model to bridge this gap.

Dysfibrinogenemia and Thrombosis
AbstractObjectives.—To review the state of the art relating to congenital dysfibrinogenemia as a potential risk factor for thrombosis, as reflected by the medical literature and the consensus opinion of recognized experts in the field, and to make recommendations for the use of laboratory assays for assessing this thrombotic risk in individual patients.

High-Fidelity Description of Platelet Deformation Using a Neural Operator [PDF]
The goal of this work is to investigate the capability of a neural operator (DeepONet) to accurately capture the complex deformation of a platelet's membrane under shear flow. The surrogate model approximated by the neural operator predicts the deformed membrane configuration based on its initial configuration and the shear stress exerted by the blood ...
