Rapid Steam‐Assisted Temperature Swing Adsorption for Direct Air Capture Using a Rotary Adsorber

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a direct air capture (DAC) device based on a steam‐regeneration rotary adsorber for high‐purity CO2. Testing of the prototype demonstrates its capability for continuous and stable carbon capture with the potential to achieve ton‐scale.

Reconfigurable Acoustofluidic Microvortices for Selective Microcargo Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a frequency‐encoded, reconfigurable acoustofluidic system that overcomes the low throughput and poor selectivity of conventional micro‐delivery methods. By exploiting discrete microbubble resonances to program adaptive microvortex modes, the platform enables real‐time switching and selective guidance of microscale payloads through ...

Spectroscopic Evidence of Edge‐Localized States in an Antiferromagnet Topological Insulator NdBi

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using spin‐polarized scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) in conjunction with quasiparticle interference, we successfully identify distinct signatures of the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic terminations in NdBi, a rare‐earth monopnictide exhibiting non‐trivial topology and magnetism. We demonstrate that step edges on ferromagnetic surfaces host well‐

Thrust Ripple Minimization of PMLSM Using Robust Two Degrees-of-Freedom controller and Thrust Ripple Observer

2021 IEEE International Conference on Real-time Computing and Robotics (RCAR), 2021
The permanent-magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) has been widely applied in the servo control system. However, the thrust ripple and parameter mismatching inevitable exist in the PMLSM drive system, which reduces the tracking performance and stability.

Research on Thrust Ripple of Aperiodic Transient Linear Induction Motors

2021 13th International Symposium on Linear Drives for Industry Applications (LDIA), 2021
Because of its simple structure, linear induction motor(LIM) is widely used in rail transit, precise positioning, and electromagnetic emission. Due to the dynamic longitudinal end effect, the distribution of the magnetic field is distorted. As a result, the axial thrust of the motor fluctuates twice the power supply frequency.

Thrust Ripple Influence of Fractional-Slot Permanent Magnet Linear Motors

2020 Fifteenth International Conference on Ecological Vehicles and Renewable Energies (EVER), 2020
For permanent magnet linear motor (PMLM), the thrust ripple is bigger compared with the conventional rotary motor, which deteriorates the thrust performance. Based on FEM, the influences of thrust ripple are investigated including slot/pole combination, magnetic load, electric load and end tooth.

Thrust Ripples Suppression of Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2007
The thrust ripples in permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) are mainly generated by the distortion of the stator flux linkage distribution, reluctance force due to the relative position between the mover and stator, cogging force caused by the interaction between the permanent magnet (PM) and the iron core, and the end effects.
