Thulium Resection of Prostate

2014
The high-power thulium laser was introduced in 2005 for the treatment of BPH. So far the vast majority of published studies using the thulium laser for BPH have employed enucleation, vapoenucleation, or laser resection techniques with very few describing pure vaporization.

Thulium Enucleation of Prostate

2014
The thulium laser has several properties that confer some theoretical advantages over other lasers used for the treatment of BPH such as a relatively small zone of thermal damage. In ex vivo animal studies comparing the KTP and thulium lasers, similar hemostatic properties were observed with a shallower coagulation zone (Wendt-Nordahl et al. J Endourol.

Reactivity of monovalent thulium

Координационная химия / Russian Journal of Coordination Chemistry
It was found that monovalent thulium iodide TmI in the TmIx mixture reacts with hydrogen at 200°C and atmospheric pressure, forming a hydrogenation product [TmIxH], which is confirmed by the reaction with (C6F5)3GeBr, leading to the formation of (C6F5)3GeН.
