Le transistor-thyristor métal-oxyde-semiconducteur (T2 MOS) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
A new MOS gate-controlled planar device is proposed. It's electrical characteristics could be either : i) MOS transistor like, ii) MOS thyristor like or iii) a combination of the two previous devices. This device is called the « MOS transistor-thyristor »

Activation‐Integrated and Memory‐Assisted Dynamic‐Latch Quantizer for Variation‐Tolerant and Low‐Energy Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.
A memory‐assisted dynamic‐latch ADC integrating charge‐trap flash enables ultra‐low‐energy quantization and in‐ADC nonlinear activation for variation‐tolerant neuromorphic computing. Analog‐to‐digital converters (ADCs) remain the dominant area/energy bottleneck in neuromorphic computing (NC) systems.

Series Connection of LCC and Full Bridge MMC With DC Fault Ride‐Through Capability for Lightweight HVDC Transmission

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 4, April 2026.
In this work, we investigate a lightweight HVDC converter topology that combines the strengths of line‐commutated converters (LCC) and full‐bridge modular multilevel converters (MMC) to address the high cost and large footprint of conventional HVDC stations.

Design of HAWT Rotor for Non‐Uniform Inflow Conditions: A Theoretical and Experimental Approach for Shear Flow

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 4, Page 1935-1951, April 2026.
This paper aims to provide a robust design approach for HAWTs operating in shear flow. This study fills a critical research gap by integrating BEM and vortex theories for blade design in non‐homogeneous inflow conditions. The authors of the paper made an effort to develop and test an experimentally unsophisticated model of a turbine working in shear ...

High Voltage DC Active Current Injection to Simulate Geomagnetically Induced Currents in New Zealand

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract This study investigates the effects of geomagnetically induced currents (GIC) on New Zealand's electrical infrastructure via an intentional ground injection of direct current (DC) from a high voltage DC converter station. GIC manifests as quasi‐DC currents within power systems, potentially causing transformer saturation, increased reactive ...

A Hybrid Ultra‐High Voltage DC Transformer With Digital Twin‐Driven Operation and Control

open access: yesDigital Twins and Applications, Volume 3, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This study introduces a digital twin‐driven hybrid ultra‐high‐voltage DC transformer (UHVDCT) that combines high‐capacity LCCs with low‐capacity MMCs at the UHV side. This innovative topology reduces MMC requirements by 32.9% while ensuring stable power flow and dynamic reactive balance through real‐time virtual‐physical synchronization.

Modified‐Source Intrinsic Bulk Nanoscale Planar MOSFET

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 62, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
The modified‐source MOSFET (MS‐MOSFET) is an intrinsic bulk planar MOSFET to operate in nanoscale range. Due to the simple structure of this novel device, it can be fabricated using low‐cost CMOS technology. As FinFETs entail a complex and expensive structure, the concept of the modified‐source transistor presents a promising approach for cost ...
