This study establishes [68Ga]Ga‐DOTA‐AP9 as a first‐in‐human CD147‐targeted PET tracer with favorable safety and specific tumor uptake. Tracer accumulation correlates with CD147 expression in patients, enabling noninvasive quantification of CD147‐positive malignancies.

Imaging and Laboratory Approach to Thyroid Diseases
Thyroid function tests need for estimating functional activity of thyroid gland and autoantibodies support for diagnosis of thyroid dysfunction. FNA and molecular testing are used as confirmation examination for thyroid malignancy.

Slow‐transit constipation (STC) is a disabling motility disorder with unclear smooth‐muscle mechanisms. Spatial proteomic analysis of STC patient colon reveals both the central pathogenic role of smooth muscle cells (SMCs) in STC and novel regulators of intestinal motility, BIN1 and ALDH1B1.

Therapeutic strategies to target the receptor tyrosine kinase AXL in thyroid cancer
The AXL receptor tyrosine kinase is overexpressed and active in various cancer types including thyroid carcinoma, and several preclinical studies suggest that targeting AXL is an effective therapeutical strategy in AXL-positive cancers.

An injectable PACmC hydrogel with “rigid island‐flexible chain” architecture is developed, featuring low swelling (49.2% within 7 d), strong wet adhesion (46.5 kPa), and high burst pressure (701 mm Hg), which can achieve rapid hemostasis and long‐term sealing in rabbit and porcine models of hepatic and splenic hemorrhage.

Functional role of the CXCR4 chemokine receptor in thyroid cancer
Thyroid cancer is the most common endocrine malignancy and its incidence is increasing worldwide. We previously found that normal rat thyroid cells, transduced with papillary thyroid cancer (PTC)-related oncogenes, display an inflammatory signature, that

Interaction of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) and Asialo-hCG with Recombinant Human Thyrotropin Receptor. [PDF]
hCG is a putative thyroid stimulator. The present studies were undertaken to examine its interaction and that of its desialylated variant asialo-hCG with recombinant human TSH (hTSH) receptor (hTSHr). To this end, we transfected a human thyroid carcinoma

Mechanosensitive Piezo1/Osteocalcin/Irisin Axis Protects Against Disuse‐Induced Muscle Atrophy
Mechanical unloading suppresses bone Piezo1 expression, which reduces circulating undercarboxylated osteocalcin (unOCN). unOCN reduction subsequently exacerbates IMM‐induced Fndc5/Irisin decrease and drives severe muscle atrophy. Bone Piezo1 activation or exogenous osteocalcin/Irisin ameliorate muscle atrophy, while muscle‐specific Gprc6a or Fndc5 ...

Role of Pax8 transcriptional factor in the differentiated thyroid
In Pax8-/- mice the thyroid anlage disappears around E11.5. At birth the gland appears as a rudimentary structure composed only of C cells while thyroid follicular cells are undetectable. Thus, this model does not allow the study of Pax8 function in the

Review of the risks and/or benefits of thyroxine treatment in ‘mild’ subclinical hypothyroidism [PDF]
Subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH) is a form of mild thyroid failure and is a commonly encountered condition in clinical practice. It denotes the presence of a raised serum thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and normal serum free thyroid hormone ...
