Complications after medullary thyroid carcinoma surgery: multicentre study of the SQRTPA and EUROCRINE® databases

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020
This study investigated postoperative complications after surgery for medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) in Europe. Hypoparathyroidism, recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy and bleeding requiring reoperation occurred in 170 (26·2 per cent), 62 (13·7 per cent) and 17 (2·6 per cent) patients respectively.

The relationship between thyroid hormones sensitivity and hyperhomocysteinemia: a cross-sectional study based on Chinese health check-up population

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology
BackgroundIt is unclear if impaired thyroid hormone sensitivity interacts with homocysteine (Hcy), a known risk factor for cardiovascular diseases (CVD), despite the fact that it has been identified as a prevalent metabolic condition. We aimed to analyze ...

The Syndromes of Resistance to Thyroid Hormone Beta

open access: yes罕见病研究, 2023
The syndrome of resistance to thyroid hormone(RTH) is a rare syndrome caused by the mutation of thyroid hormone receptor (TR) gene, which reduces the sensitivity of target organs to thyroid hormone (TH) and leads to the dysfunction of TH. Thyroid hormone

Recapitulating Endochondral Ossification for Bone Repair: From Development to Engineering Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the developmental basis of endochondral ossification (ECO) and its applications in bone tissue engineering (BTE). It first outlines the key biological processes and signaling pathways underlying ECO, then discusses biomaterial‐based engineering strategies derived from these principles, and finally highlights future directions for

Association of impaired sensitivity to thyroid hormones with hyperuricemia through obesity in the euthyroid population

open access: yesJournal of Translational Medicine, 2023
Background Impaired sensitivity to thyroid hormones is a newly proposed clinical entity associated with hyperuricemia in the subclinical hypothyroid population. However, it is unknown whether the association exists in the euthyroid population. This study

GPCRs in CAR‐T Cell Immunotherapy: Expanding the Target Landscape and Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy faces dual challenges of target scarcity and an immunosuppressive microenvironment in solid tumors. This review highlights how G protein‐coupled receptors can serve as both novel targets to expand the therapeutic scope and functional modules to enhance CAR‐T cell efficacy.
