Mechanisms of Pericyte‐Mediated Cancer Metastasis
Pericytes play multifarious roles in promoting cancer metastasis by facilitating metastatic cancer cell dissemination, circulating tumor cell survival, tissue extravasation, premetastatic niche formation, and metastatic tumor growth. These cells have intertwined interactions with vascular endothelial cells to modulate cancer cell behavior and ...

Selenium‐Based Nanoplatforms: An Emerging Theranostic Paradigm for Gynecological Cancers
This reivew summarizes Selenium as a multifunctional anticancer regulator in gynecological cancers. It reduces tumor risk, enhances therapeutic efficacy, and reduces treatment toxicity. Selenium also overcomes chemoraditherapy resistance, improving overall treatment outcomes. ABSTRACT Gynecological cancers present significant therapeutic challenges due

Thyroid hormone sensitivity indices and hs-CRP as biochemical predictors of arteriovenous fistula maturation in diabetic nephropathy [PDF]
Background: Autogenous arteriovenous fistula (AVF) maturation is essential for successful hemodialysis in patients with diabetic nephropathy (DN). However, its outcome is often unpredictable.

Inadequate control of thyroid hormones sensitizes to hepatocarcinogenesis and unhealthy aging
An inverse correlation between thyroid hormone levels and longevity has been reported in several species and reduced thyroid hormone levels have been proposed as a biomarker for healthy aging and metabolic fitness. However, hypothyroidism is a medical condition associated with compromised health and reduced life expectancy.

Ovarian macrophage depletion reverses OHSS resistance in estrildid finches and exacerbates OHSS symptoms in rats. Activating macrophage GPR183 alleviates OHSS by reducing pro‐inflammatory factors, increasing immunomodulatory molecules, remodeling CD44/SDC4‐mediated communication, and restoring immune homeostasis.

Clinically Relevant Bleeding in Individuals With Cancer: Insights From a Nationwide Cohort Study
ABSTRACT Cancer care is often complicated by coagulopathy leading to thrombosis and bleeding. While venous thromboembolism (VTE) has been extensively studied, bleeding remains an underestimated threat. To address this knowledge gap, we leveraged the Epic Cosmos database to determine the impact of cancer‐associated clinically relevant bleeding (CRB) in ...

Changes of central sensitivity to thyroid hormones during pregnancy
Introduction/Aim: Central sensitivity to thyroid hormones refers to the sensitivity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid (HPT) axis to changes in circulating free thyroxine (fT4). The relationship between fT4 levels and iodine intake is complex. The aim of the present study was to assess central sensitivity to thyroid hormones in pregnancy against ...
