The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 11, Page 2955-2973, November 2026.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

METTL7B‐Mediated m6A Modification of PLEKHA4 Suppresses Ferroptosis via Reducing AURKA Ubiquitination to Promote Papillary Thyroid Cancer Progression

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 11, November 2026.
In PTC cells, METTL7B stabilizes PLEKHA4 mRNA through m6A modification; upregulated PLEKHA4 binds KLHL12 and inhibits KLHL12‐mediated ubiquitination and degradation of AURKA, thereby stabilizing AURKA protein. Elevated AURKA suppresses ferroptosis by upregulating GPX4 and xCT while downregulating ACSL4, leading to ferroptosis resistance and enhanced ...

High Level of Component C1q Binding Protein (C1QBP) is Associated With Poor Prognosis and Dysfunction of Mast Cells in Lung Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 11, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Component C1q binding protein (C1QBP) is known as an important regulator of mitochondrial plasticity and is involved in antitumor immune response in cancers. Nevertheless, its role in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) still remains largely unknown.

Genomic Alterations in Pulmonary Carcinoid Tumors: A Targeted Analysis of Gene Rearrangements and Oncogenic Mutations

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 11, November 2026.
This study applied RNA‐based next‐generation sequencing to one of the largest cohorts of pulmonary carcinoid tumors analyzed to date and revealed rare yet potentially actionable gene rearrangements and variants, including alterations in ALK, BRAF, and EGFR.
