Thyrotropin Receptors and Gangliosides
1980Recent studies (1, 2, 28–30, 33–35) have implicated ganglio-sides in the receptor recognition process for thyrotropin (TSH) and have led to the hypothesis (15–17, 19) that the TSH receptor is structurally and functionally related to receptors for other ligands which interact with gangliosides in vitro, i.e., cholera toxin, tetanus toxin, and interferon.

Generalized Reactions to Thyrotropin
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1965ABSTRACT To the Editor:— I read with considerable interest the report of Drs. Sherman and Werner (JAMA190: 244 [Oct 19] 1964) of a generalized allergic reaction which occurred after the injection of bovine thyrotropin ( TSH). This case report emphasizes a complication which may be encountered when TSH is used on repeated occasions for radioactive ...

Thyrotropin-releasing hormone and thyrotropin secretion.
The Journal of laboratory and clinical medicine, 1987Thyrotropin (TSH) secretion is regulated primarily by thyroid hormones and thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH). Normally, TSH secretion is exquisitely sensitive to small increases and decreases in serum thyroid hormone concentrations when they occur as a result of alterations in thyroid secretion.
