Record‐High Latent Heat, Ultra‐Fast Relaxation and Closed‐Loop Recycling Double‐Brush Polymer Networks for Self‐Adaptive Thermal Interface Management

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By grafting dense long double‐brush chains, we synthesized bottlebrush networks with high theoretical enthalpy. Their low entanglement, combined with dynamic bonds, promotes crystalline domain reorganization and minimizes enthalpy loss, achieving a record enthalpy of 240.7 J·g−1.

A pipeline crisis or a sustainability crisis? Local and national succession planning for headteachers in England

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Recruiting and retaining school leaders is a challenge in many systems worldwide. Previous research has identified three distinct ways in which succession planning can be conceptualised and approached: a ‘pipeline’ approach seeks to match supply and demand for the posts that need filling; a ‘pool’ strategy involves proactively identifying and ...

A multipart phase 1 study of the safety, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of ALG‐055009, a novel thyroid hormone receptor beta (THR‐β) agonist for metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis (MASH), in healthy participants

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology in Drug Development, EarlyView.
Abstract ALG–055009 is an oral thyroid hormone receptor beta (THR‐β) agonist being evaluated for treating metabolic dysfunction–associated steatohepatitis (MASH). This study evaluated the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of ALG‐055009 and bioavailability/food effect.

Preoperative Detection of Dual TERT Promoter Mutations in Thyroid Cancer: A Case Series

open access: yesDiagnostic Cytopathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Telomerase reverse transcriptase promoter (TERTp) mutations are associated with aggressive thyroid cancer and are most frequently found in anaplastic and poorly differentiated thyroid cancer. Pre‐operative thyroid nodule molecular testing can detect TERTp, denoting a high risk of malignancy and possible aggressive clinical features such as ...

Relationship of Thyroid Volume and Function with Ankle-Brachial Index, Toe-Brachial Index, and Toe Pressure in Euthyroid People Aged 18–65

open access: yesMedicina
Background and Objectives: The interrelationship between thyroid function and the state of the cardiovascular system has been investigated both in preclinical and human studies. However, it remains unclear whether there is any association between thyroid

Evaluation of the patients with Grave’s ophthalmopathy after the corticosteroids treatment [PDF]

open access: yesVojnosanitetski Pregled, 2012
Background/Aim. Graves’ ophthalmopthy is one of the most common causes of exophthalmos as well as the most common manifestation of Graves’ disease. The treatment of Graves’ ophthalmopathy includes ophthalmological and endocrinological therapy. The aim

Fracture evolution of a thick soft protection layer and the water inrush mechanism in overburden under longwall mining

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Through shear–tensile creep tests and viscoelastic modeling, the fracture evolution of thick soft protective layers is clarified. Results show thickness‐dependent rheological failure modes that govern four types of roof water inrush, providing a mechanism‐based framework for hazard prediction and control. Abstract In the Jurassic coal‐bearing strata of

Impact of non-severe infections on cortisol and thyroid stimulating hormone baseline levels in hospitalized patients: A monocentric cross-sectional study

open access: yesEndocrine Regulations
Objective. The hormonal balance is dependent on the internal and external stimuli. The baseline cortisol (BC) and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) levels have been observed to vary and have a predictive value in critical illness settings.
