On TI and TI Defect Blocks

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2001
Let \(G\) be a finite group and \(p\) a prime. A \(p\)-block \(B\) of \(G\) is called a TI block if every \(B\)-subpair \((Q,b_Q)\) with \(Q\neq 1\) is contained in a unique Sylow \(B\)-subpair \((D,b_D)\). It is called a TI defect block if \(D\cap D^g=1\) for every defect group \(D\) of \(B\) and every \(g\in G\setminus N_G(D)\).

Combined Effect of Zr and Si on Isothermal Oxidation of Ti [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials, 2018
In this study, the combined effect of Zr and Si on isothermal oxidation of Ti for 25 and 50 h at 820°C, which is the temperature related to exhaust valves operation, was investigated.

The Importance of Electron Transfer Mechanism in Reactions of Neutral Transition Metal Atoms

open access: yesLaser Chemistry, Volume 15, Issue 2-4, Page 209-220, 1995., 1995
Reaction kinetics of ground, Ti(a3F) and V(a4F), and excited, Ti(a5F) and V(a6D), states atoms with some simple molecules have been studied by a discharge‐flow tube technique. Laser‐induced fluorescence (LIF) was used to determine the concentration of the metal atoms as a function of the flow rate of the reactant molecule to obtain effective ...

Effect of TiO2 content in slag on Ti content in molten steel

open access: yesHigh Temperature Materials and Processes, 2021
A calculation model of activity for CaO–SiO2–MgO–Al2O3–TiO2 slag is established according to molecular-ion coexistence theory of slag structure to calculate the activities of Al2O3, SiO2, and TiO2 in the slag.

Ti+4 determination in Ziegler–Natta polymerization catalysts via UV‒vis spectroscopy method [PDF]

open access: yesPolyolefins Journal
The determination of Ti+4 in Ziegler–Natta catalysts is highly relevant for industrial plants that use Ziegler–Natta (ZN) catalysts based on TiCl4 as a source of titanium.
