Unraveling MXene Oxidation Mechanisms Under Realistic Gas Environments by In Situ Gas‐Cell TEM
Real‐time visualization of MXene degradation reveals a fundamental oxidation mechanism under oxygen and moisture environments. Using in situ gas‐cell electron microscopy, this study demonstrates that oxygen degradation drives a thermodynamically controlled high‐temperature transformation into mixed rutile/anatase phases.

Mechanism and kinetics of high-temperature oxidation of medium- and high-entropy carbides in air
Medium- and high-entropy carbides (MECs and HECs) have a wide range of advanced applications and, in many cases, outperform monocarbides. However, the behavior, oxidation mechanisms, and factors defining oxidation resistance of some popular HECs at high ...

Hierarchical MXene‐Derived NTP/C Nanohybrids for Cryogenic Sodium‐Ion Batteries
A hierarchical MXene‐derived NaTi2(PO4)3/C nanohybrid enables efficient sodium‐ion storage down to −40°C by integrating fast ion–electron transport pathways with an ether‐based electrolyte. The system promotes dominant pseudocapacitive behavior and forms a robust inorganic‐rich SEI, collectively mitigating kinetic and interfacial limitations, thereby ...

Photocycloaddition in stilbene‐type salt polymorphs exhibit distinct light‐driven responses: OHT‐TI shows a violent photosalient effect under visible and NIR (two‐photon) irradiation, whereas OHT‐TII reacts statically. Packing and computational analysis reveals that shell‐like structures in OHT‐TI frustrate structural relaxation, accumulating explosive

The size effect of TiCT nanosheet on the charge storage capability
This study explores the influence of lateral dimensions on the electrochemical performance of Ti 3 C 2 T x . Both Ti 3 C 2 T x with big lateral (Ti 3 C 2 T x -B) and Ti 3 C 2 T x with medium lateral (Ti 3 C 2 T x -M) exhibit a surface-controlled charge ...
