Structure and mechanical performance for TiAlN films that are grown with a low Al composition
An orthogonal array L _9 (3 ^4 ) is used with the grey Taguchi design to optimize the performance of TiAlN films that are grown by direct current magnetron co-sputtering, using a low Al concentration. The structure, mechanical performance and the cutting

Influence of Multilayer Structure on the Structural and Mechanical Properties of TiAlN/CrN Coatings for Advanced Machining Applications [PDF]
This study investigates single and multilayer TiAlN/CrN nanocomposite thin films developed using an RF magnetron sputtering system. The TiAlN and CrN layers showed a high degree of orientation, with the (200) peak being the strongest peak in both layers,

Optimization and thermal stability of TiAlN/Mo multilayers [PDF]
Abstract In this work we focus on the optimization and thermal stability of nanocomposite TiAlN/Mo multilayers that were produced by reactive magnetron sputtering on high-speed steel substrates, with modulation periods below 5 nm. These multilayers were annealed between 600–900 °C for 1 h in a vacuum furnace.

Mechanical properties of multilayer coatings TiAlN
Abstract This study aims to examine multilayer TiAlN coatings. The mechanical properties of the coatings were obtained based on micromechanics methods and finite element modeling of a representative volume of a layered medium in ANSYS. Our findings are in line with the data on coating nanoindentation.
