The transition layer in TiB2-GaAs and Au-TiB2-GaAs Schottky contacts
Semiconductors, 2001Spectral characteristics of the transverse bulk photovoltage in the TiB2-GaAs and Au-TiB2-GaAs Schottky contacts for starting samples (unannealed) and samples annealed at 400, 600, and 800°C were measured. The concentration of the dopant for the n-GaAs substrate was 1016 cm−3. It was found that the transition layer is formed in the TiB2-GaAs structures

The constitution diagram constructed for the quasibinary TiB2-Re system is of the eutectic type, with Teut = 2500 ± 50°K. The eutectic composition is 22 wt.% TiB2 + 78 wt.% Re. The system is characterized by small intersolubility of its components. The eutectic temperature recorded is the highest of any MeIVB2-Re system.

Oxidation Behaviour of TiB2, Al2O3-TiB2 and Si3N4-TiB2 Ceramic Systems
1992In view of the susceptibility of TiB2 to oxidation, the thermal stability of monolithic TiB2 and of Al2O3-30 vol% TiB2 and Si3N4-20 vol% TiB2 composites was investigated. The temperature at which TiB2 ceramic starts to oxidize is about 400°C, oxidation kinetics being controlled by diffusion up toT?900°C and in the first stage of the oxidation at 1000°C

Effect of TiB2 Content on Wear Resistance of TiB2/7055 Composite Materials
2018TiB2/7055 composites with volume fractions of 0, 5.17 and 18.23% were prepared by two step method. Firstly, the Al/TiB2 master alloy was prepared by Melt Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis method. Then, TiB2/7055 composite was prepared by adjusting the alloy elements with using this master alloy as the matrix.

Effect of sintering temperature and TiB2 content on the grain size of B4C-TiB2 composites
Materials Today Communications, 2020Abstract Boron carbide (B4C) is a ceramic with great properties such as low density, the third hardness after diamond and cubic BN. However, it is a limited use cause of its poor sinterability and low fracture toughness. Titanium diboride (TiB2) has been used as an ideal additive to get B4C ceramics with good properties.
