Mechanical and tribological properties of TiB2-SiC and TiB2-SiC-GNPs ceramic composites
Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2020Abstract TiB2-SiC and TiB2-SiC-graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) composites were prepared using field-assisted sintering technology at 2100 °C in argon atmosphere, and the influence of the SiC and different GNPs addition on microstructure development, mechanical and tribological properties has been investigated.

Oxidation Behaviour of TiB2, Al2O3-TiB2 and Si3N4-TiB2 Ceramic Systems
1992In view of the susceptibility of TiB2 to oxidation, the thermal stability of monolithic TiB2 and of Al2O3-30 vol% TiB2 and Si3N4-20 vol% TiB2 composites was investigated. The temperature at which TiB2 ceramic starts to oxidize is about 400°C, oxidation kinetics being controlled by diffusion up toT?900°C and in the first stage of the oxidation at 1000°C
